The Holy Bible is the Christian churches sacred writings, which we understand to reveal God's nature and will to us. The word Bible is a derivative of the Latin word "biblia" meaning book. The Christian Bible is actually not one book, but a collection of books, written by people of faith over many thousands of years. These books are divided into three groups: The Old Testament, the New Testament and the Apocrapha. The books included in the Bible were originally written in the Greek and Hebrew languages, but are now available translated into numerous languages and numerous versions.
