We, as pastors and congregations of the United Lutheran Parish are pleased to offer food to persons in our communities who need our help.  On the initial call for assistance, an appointment will be set up with the Pastor to complete an intake form and go over guidelines.  Food is distributed on pre-designated dates.  Clients must call the week before the next distribution date to request assistance.  If you are in need of assistance, call the TULP office at 715-787-3367 and ask for an appointment with the Pastor.

In January of 2011, the TULP Food Pantry became an agency of the Feeding America Program.  A drop-off site has been established in Shawano, WI, where local agencies of the Feeding America program can pick-up pre-ordered food and community care products to be distributed through their programs.  Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin distributes food through a network of 1,100 hunger-relief programs throughout eastern Wisconsin.  Their mission is to feed the hungry in the Fox Valley and northeastern Wisconsin by obtaining food and related products, distributing them to qualified non-profit programs, and providing those programs with appropriate assistance.  The TULP Food Pantry is excited about this affiliation and the opportunities allowed to help us feed the hungry in our surrounding area.

We are in the process of remodeling the attached garage at the TULP office to house the food pantry in the future.  We have received generous donations from Torborg's in Shawano and are in the process of acquiring all the needed materials.  We will be asking for volunteers to help insulate, hang drywall, hang ceiling tiles, and install new doors in the near future. This will make distribution and storage of food items much easier and all in one area for the future.  Our goal is to complete this before the snow flies - in other words, soon!!
